Keeping more of your money in your pocket

My political history includes a lengthy list of ballot measures which I voluntarily worked on as a petition circulator, a steering committee member, or spearheaded. These all kept more money in your pocket. When we look at our cost of living, levels of taxation have to be considered.

Defeating Proposition HH (2023)

Local petition coordinator to get Prop 120 – Property Tax Relief (2020)

Campaign coordinator to protect our tax caps and TABOR in Jefferson County (2019 and 2022)

Lakewood grocery tax repeal (2008)

Plus, many more campaigns.

Governments are to perform core tasks but quite often stray to pet projects and unnecessary spending. The county commissioners are in charge of a large budget. My eight years’ experience as an elected Board Director in the Regional Transportation District (RTD) with an annual $1 billion dollar budget gives me the background to address the county’s financial budget which is less than RTD.

The Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights allows government to grow relative to the economy. That keeps your taxes in line with what you earn. That’s economic sustainability.

I serve as a board director for the TABOR Foundation and TABOR Committee. Here’s some photos from one of our taxpayer workshops.
